Taylor's Teachers Study Art!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on Thu, 10/08/2015 - 20:03

Each year, Nebo's ARTS specialists visit the school instructing teachers and students in visual art, drama, dance and music. Taylor's teachers have been spending the week studying ways to integrate visual arts into the core lessons. Teachers in 3rd-6th grades have been creating a variety of lessons that use everything from large art prints to reinforce opinion writing to using oil pastels that show erosion timelines.
The teachers at Taylor are excited for students to not only experience different aft forms, but to also solidify the essential core concepts that are taught each day!

Another Successful Fall Carnival!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on Tue, 10/06/2015 - 15:26

Taylor School recently hosted their annual Fall Carnival. Students and their families filled the halls and classrooms and enjoyed an evening of games and food. Some of the favorites were, 'Toilet Paper Toss', 'Face Painting', 'Sucker Pull, 'Fish Pond' and 'The Donut Walk" Along with the games and prizes, gift baskets were created by the classes that were auctioned off to raise money for the school.

Many thanks go to the PTA and committees that put countless hours into the success of the Fall Carnival. This is a favorite time of year for Taylor Tigers and their families and we look forward to it happening again next year!

Please visit our school's Facebook page for more pictures of this great night!!!
