One of Taylor Elementary’s favorite Title-1 Technicians is retiring after 27 years in Nebo School District.    Mrs. Cheryl Brown began her lifetime career at Peteetneet Elementary in 1986.   From there she has worked with students at Park View Elementary, Santaquin Elementary (twice), Park Elementary, and finally at Taylor Elementary.    Mrs. Brown has tutored students in every elementary grade level in reading and math over her 27 years in education.  She possesses such skills and knowledge in math and reading that students leave her lessons a better student with a deeper understanding of concepts.

Taylor Principal, Frank Daybell, says of Cheryl, “Cheryl is a true professional. Watching her work with students over the years and the see the high level of expectations she has for each child has been an absolute pleasure.  Taylor’s faculty and students have been truly lucky to have someone like Cheryl call Taylor Elementary home.”

“My favorite saying is, ‘Do a little better than your best’.  I have enjoyed being in the classroom or helping students one-on-one with reading and math.  I am so grateful for this experience where I learned something new everyday and hopefully helped the students enjoy learning as much as I did.  Thanks to all the principals, teachers and friends I have worked with.  I have truly enjoyed my 27 years with Nebo School District.”

Congratulations to Mrs. Cheryl Brown on her retirement from Nebo School District!.
