Mr. Bird is from Springville.  He has been married for 25 years. They have 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl. He likes spending time with them, and going to all their activities.   Mr. Bird likes to sing and play guitar a little bit.  He was in show choirs in high school and college. He is also learning how to play the bagpipes, but says he hasn't saved up enough money to buy a full set yet, so he's still practicing with a chanter.  Mr. Bird used to like to play sports, but mostly just watches them now.  He likes to play golf, but doesn't play very often.  Maybe now with summers off he will have more time.  He also likes to work on projects around the house, and look forward to lots of things to do this summer. Mr. Bird says, "I went back to school to become a school counselor a few years ago.  It has been a wonderful switch and I have loved working in schools and helping kids.  I can't think of a better place to work.  Sometimes it's difficult, and my heart hurts for what these kids have to go through, but I love feeling like I am making at least a little bit of difference in their lives." Thanks Mr. Bird for all you do to help our student here at Taylor Elementary!! #TaylorTigers #TaylorElementary #Roar #BeKindToOneAnother #CounselorAppreciation #DiscoverPowerWithin #NeboHero #NeboSchoolDistrict #StudentSuccess #EmpowerStudents #EngageStudents #FocusOnStudents #LoveUTpublicSchools #UtPol #UtEd #ThankATeacher #ThankACounselor #LoveTeaching
