Taylor fourth grade students in Mrs. Beck, Mrs. Grill and Mrs. Muhlestein's classes recently visited historic Camp Floyd.  Students took a step back in time and were able to experience life in the famous Utah military camp.  Students spent the day making adobe bricks, dipping candles, attending pioneer school, riding in the pony express as well as going through artillery training.  This is a fun way for students to see a piece of Utah history come alive!  Everyone on site was dressed in character and students learned a lot from the stories told by them about the history of the military camp.  Fourth-grade student, Addison Corbin, said, "My favorite part was making candles because it was cool to make them from hot wax. It took a long time to get them to be big."   Many thanks go to the many parent volunteers that make this field trip possible for the fourth-grade classes!
