Mr. Bryan, from Sorenson Genomics, visited Taylor's 5th grade classes as they study heredity and genetics.  Mr. Bryan, who also has a 5th grader at Taylor,  works specifically with human DNA inherited from parents.  He explained to the classes his educational pathway in his science career which started right in an elementary classroom.  He graduated from UVU and is now a research scientist.

In the biotechnology field, students can earn a college degree, use problem solving skills, math, computers, and a lot of curiosity. Many scientists in his field use their gene knowledge in forensics, disease/disorder testing and family trees.    This was a very informative presentation to help introduce the posibilities in the field of genetics!
