Taylor Elementary is known for being a school with dedicated readers.  Staff Developer, Tara Hunt, wanted a way to take that passion one step further and dedicate an entire month to the love of literacy!  In honor of famed author, Dr. Seuss' birthday, Taylor kicked off Literacy Month by a showing of the Cat in the Hat and listening to a read-a-loud of Green Eggs and Ham by Mr. Daybell in the gym. Along with this, classes are encouraged  to go above and beyond their normal reading goals and compete for the most reading minutes!  Each day, classes are also reading a biography of Dr. Seuss and are quizzed on details to earn potential prizes from Mr. Daybell!   Students around the school have loved having extra reasons to carry a book with them and are looking forward to the many activities that are planned for the month of March including school favorite, Shooting for Bucks, daily book drawings, read-a-thons and Hat Day!   Many thanks go to Mrs. Tara Hunt and Principal Frank Daybell for keeping reading a priority at Taylor Elementary!
