Taylor Elementary held their 2nd annual Family Math Night last night. Each grade level met with parents and students to showed them multiple ways to enjoy math in their homes. Third-grade teacher, Mrs. Robin Provstgaard, said, "We had a lot of second-grade students come to our sessions. Parents were really interested in starting their kids on concepts early so they can be successful in the next grade level." Across grade levels, activities ranged from integer activities, multiplication games, dancing in Math, addition games all the way to counting and recognizing numbers in kindergarten! Parents were excited to come away with armloads of free math supplies and games for their families to share! Fourth-grade student, Briar Day, said, "It was fun to go to other grades besides just fourth. I went to three different classes but I liked moving around my body with geometry words the best!"

Taylor Elementary is very appreciative of our parents continuing to show support to our teachers and our math programs. We're already looking forward to next year's "Family Math Night"!
