Students in Mrs. Corbin, Mrs. Grill and Ms. Orme's classes all came to school dressed right out of the history books! As part of fourth-grade core, students spend a lot of the year learning about the history of the state of Utah.  In celebration of this, students participated in a "Pioneer Day" experiencing a small taste of how life was in Utah during the mid 1800's.  Students dipped candles, sorted wool, made toys, chiseled stone, made toys, shaved wood, and tied rope just to name a few!   Fourth-grade student said, "My favorite part of the day was dipping the candles because they were really big when we were finished!  My least favorite part was churning butter. It was really hard and made my arms tired."

Many thanks to the parent volunteers that made this day possible for our students!   This is always a fun time for students to get a small taste of Utah's history!
