Fourth and fifth graders at Taylor Elementary have been working hard on remembering what their E.A.R.S. are for...reading out loud! Reading with Expression, Accuracy, Rate and Smoothness are things that a good reader does when they're reading aloud. Each Friday, the classes have the chance to show off their skills by reading to the three first grade classes. This is a fun opportunity for both grades to look forward to because it gives them a chance to practice reading, make new friends, and learn from each other. This is a long time tradition that has been happening at Taylor for more than 12 years! Upper grade students always remember when they were in first grade and the "big kids" read to them. What a great way to continue the community at Taylor Elementary! Many tigers....one ROAR!
