4th Graders Making Storms

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
4th graders at Taylor have been studying the weather in Utah. They've been learning about weather instruments, forecasts, weather data and clouds. As part of this, students were able to create their own storm the classroom! Fourth-grade student, Addison Corbin, says, "We got to make our own rainstorms by using food coloring and shaving cream. It was so cool to see the storms happening inside our cups!" What a great way to make science come alive in the classroom!

First Grade's Pirate Day!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
First grade students had a great day at school this week! They visited the Scera Theatre to watch the play, Peter Pan. This was exciting for students to see a familiar tale come to life! When they returned to school, they made pirate pancakes and finished the day by tracing their shadows....just like Peter Pan! This was a day focused on literacy, the performing arts and building friendships in the 1st grade!
