Taylor's Fourth Grade Visits Symphony

Submitted by courtney.corbin on

Fourth-grade students at Taylor Elementary had a great reason to dress in their very best...The Utah Symphony perfomance at Salem Hills High School. This performance is always an exciting time of year for fourth-graders because they love to see and hear the different instruments the symphony uses in music. Several of the selections played were familiar to students so it was neat to experience them being performed live. Many thanks go to the Utah Symphony and those at the district level that help organize this event each for Nebo's fourth-graders. What a memorable time of year!

Taylor's Sixth Grade Orchestra Delights School

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
Taylor's sixth-grade orchestra students delighted the school with their first school-wide performance as well as a parent program. Under the direction of Mrs. Drager, this is Taylor Elementary's second student orchestra group that is open to sixth-grade students. Students that are involved meet before school starts and are expected to practice each night at home. The school was amazed to hear the talented musicians play traditional favorites as well as a few Christmas songs. Several students were even given the chance to debut as soloists. What a fun musical treat for Taylor School!
