Taylor's Teachers Study Art!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
Each year, Nebo's ARTS specialists visit the school instructing teachers and students in visual art, drama, dance and music. Taylor's teachers have been spending the week studying ways to integrate visual arts into the core lessons. Teachers in 3rd-6th grades have been creating a variety of lessons that use everything from large art prints to reinforce opinion writing to using oil pastels that show erosion timelines. The teachers at Taylor are excited for students to not only experience different aft forms, but to also solidify the essential core concepts that are taught each day!

First Graders Create Constitution

Submitted by courtney.corbin on

Mrs. Oakeson's class created a class constitution to celebrate Constitution Day at Taylor!   Students all wrote down ideas that they felt were important to include for their class rules.   When this was completed, first-graders wrote it out and recited it together to remind them of the great things they've put into place!   Nice job first-grade students for remembering what's important!
