Taylor Elementary's halls were recently filled with music coming form the entertaining Steve James' musical perfomance. Steve James is a singer/songwriter who wrote music specifically for the "Prevention Dimension" program wich teaches students to be drug and alcohol free by finding other alternaitves to enjoy. He is always a delight for Taylor school and the students love to sing along with songs they're familiar with while watching his amazing fun-filled performance.
Fifth grade teacher, Lyndsey Whicker says, "Prevention Dimension is a great program for our schools in Utah because it reinforces the importance of being healthy, staying drug free and making good choices every day at school and in the community. Taylor students are always looking for ways to make positive goals in their lives and this program helps them achieve this."
Thank you Steve James for taking the time to come to our school and reminding us how important it is to set goals to stay drug-free and remain healthy!
Happy 100th Day of School to some of our tiniest tigers! Kindergarten students in Mrs. Sumens' and Mrs. Bradford's classes celebrated in style! We sure hope we're as adorable as these kindergarteners when we're 100! Congratulations to these students for hitting such a huge milestone in their time at Taylor!
Check out February's Student Council Challenge! SHARE KINDNESS AND STAND UP FOR EACH OTHER!!!! Teachers are on the lookout for "Upstanders"....those that stick up for others and help be an example of kindness.
If you are caught in a situation where someone is not kind.....remember to use C.A.S.T.
