Hello Parents,

I really appreciate so much all the support we have seen as we are working hard to keep our students safe.  I appreciate everyone moving forward in the student drop off area and not getting out of the cars and parking in this area.  We are continuing to look at how we can ensure the safety of our students.

With yesterday being September 11th, your student had the wonderful opportunity to participate with the school in a flag ceremony, singing of the national anthem, and the pledge. As this commenced, we as a school administration asked the teachers to focus on the heroes that came immediately after the days events sixteen years ago. Good people around the world showed their kindness and love for each other by reaching out and helping save the lives of those hurt by this event.   Instead of focusing on the the tragic events of 9/11, we wanted in emphasis the patriotism, kindness and heroism that was brought about because of that day.  It was such a wonderful experience standing in the circle as our students sang the National Anthem and said the pledge.  I couldn't help but fight back the tears.  I love your students and the happiness they bring to our school.

We are so excited about our upcoming Hero Night.  Attached you will see a newsletter from our PTA.  This newsletter letter contains details about that night as well as other good information.  I great appreciate all the hard work our PTA has done this year to help get our school up and running.  I encourage anyone who would like to get involved to please come out and join this wonderful group.  Great things are happening.

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER that on MONDAY, September 18th we have an EARLY OUT!  School will let out at 12:00 PM. Lunch will be served at at 10:40.   Because we have early out and Kindergarten will be participate in an all day field trip later this year, there will be NO KINDERGARTEN on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th.

As we are getting our School Community Council up and running.  This year we had two parents that volunteered to run as SCC candidates.  Because we need two parents to fill the vacant slots, I am happy to announce that Mrs. Cathy Nelson and Mrs. Elizabeth Rios are on our 2017-2018 SCC.  Thank you so much for volunteered to be part of this Council!

As always, follow us on Facebook and Instagram and don't forget to check our website.Thank you so much for all your support!  Please open the attachment for great information on upcoming events!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Robbins
