Taylor Elementary School is pleased to welcome Holly Markgrafmayne to our school.  "Miss Holly", as the students call her, is Nebo School District's dance specialist.  Miss Holly has been actively meeting with teachers and students to help imbed dance movement into as many areas of curriculm as possible.   Students have had a chance to learn and express their ideas through movement while at school with Miss Holly. Taylor's teachers have taken this one step further and incorporated movement into their math, language, science and writing lessons.

Taylor Students Use Their E.A.R.S.

Fourth graders at Taylor Elementary have been working hard on remembering what their E.A.R.S. are for...reading out loud!  Reading with Expression, Accuracy, Rate and Smoothness are things that a good reader does when they're reading aloud.  Each Friday, Mrs. Corbin, Mrs. Grill and Ms. Orme's classes have the chance to show off their skills by reading to the four first grade classes.  This is a fun opportunity for both grades to look forward to because it gives them a chance to practice reading, make new friends, and learn from each other.
