Taylor Elementary 6th grade held their first Orchestra Concert. Under the direction of Mrs. Drager the group played for 30 minutes while parents and teachers enjoyed the evening. Many students played a solo during the performance. Congratulations to all Orchestra members.
Taylor Elementary has joined with Payson community and Macy’s Department Store to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Beginning on November 2nd, children across the country are invited to drop off their letters, stamped and addressed to Santa at the North Pole, in the Santa Mail letterbox at any Macy’s store. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to 1 million dollars to help grant the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions.

For the past couple of months students at Taylor Elementary have been learning about ancient civilizations and as of late students have been actively learning about ancient Rome and Greece. The original Ancient Olympic Games were a series of athletic competitions held between various city-states of Ancient Greece every four years. They began in 776 BC in Olympia, Greece, and were celebrated until 393 AD.
“Magic of a Moment” was the theme of the 2012 Reflections contest. Taylor Elementary PTA honored students that participated this year with a gift certificate to Funfinity. Congratulations to the following Taylor Tigers for their hard work.
