Reading Buddies at Taylor, a Longtime Tradition!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on

Fourth and fifth graders at Taylor Elementary have been working hard on remembering what their E.A.R.S. are for...reading out loud! Reading with Expression, Accuracy, Rate and Smoothness are things that a good reader does when they're reading aloud. Each Friday, Mrs. Corbin, Ms. Whicker, Mrs. Beck and Mrs. Muhelstein's classes have the chance to show off their skills by reading to the four first grade classes. This is a fun opportunity for both grades to look forward to because it gives them a chance to practice reading, make new friends, and learn from each other.

Taylor's 3rd Grade Particpated In National Day of Caring

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
Taylor Elementary school's third graders in Mrs. Provstgaard's class participated in National Day of Caring by weeding and re-mulching the front flower-beds of the school. These flowers beds were added to the school last year and have been such a beautiful addition to the entrance of Taylor. Thank you students for your service and dedication to Taylor! Many tigers.....one R.O.A.R.!

Taylor School Remembers September 11, 2001

Submitted by courtney.corbin on

Taylor School had the privilege of participating in a patriotic flag ceremony this morning. In honor of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, the flag at Taylor School was lowered halfway by Army veteran, Marshall Ludwig, who served honorably in the Viet Nam War. This was an emotional experience for many who were there.
As Taylor tigers, we Reach our potential, Own up, Accept everyone and Remember who we represent. Today was a great day to be a tiger, and remember all those who have bravely sacrificed their lives for our freedoms!
