My 2nd grade teacher made such a huge impact on my life. She made me feel SO loved and SO smart! Ever since then, I wanted to do what she did.
What was something funny that you did or happened to you that not very many people know about?
I didn't get my driver's license until after I was married! Weird right?

I always wanted to be a teacher. I use to play school with my brothers. My teachers have impacted me to continue my dream.

I've always enjoyed helping others learn. I had the idea in the back of my mind ever since elementary school.

I like working with kids, and I like helping them.

For a time I slept in a little room underneath my stairs, by choice, because I thought it made me a little bit like Harry Potter.
If we can't have faculty meeting at school, we have it from our homes. Thirty certified staff members digitally in attendance. Amazing!!!!! We are committed to our Taylor Tigers!❤️

Why did you choose this job in education?
I always played school as a child, I always wanted to be the teacher and made my sister be the student. Once we got older, my little sister had a hard time with school. She didn´t love it, and struggled academically. I wanted to help her and I really found a love for teaching helping my sister. I knew teaching was the career choice for me.

Why did you choose this job in education?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I have several family members that are teachers, and I wanted to make a difference in the lives of students just like them.

Like you, we are just learning that Governor Gary R. Herbert, State Superintendent Syd Dickson, and the Utah State Board of Education “announced today that Utah’s K-12 public schools will extend their dismissal [soft closure] through Friday, May 1st.” Their press release further stated that they will “continue to evaluate the situation to make a determination about the remaining school year” and that:
We have all made it through our first week of school dismissal. It is now time for Utah schools to show our Utah School Spirit.
