Raised in Santaquin, Doni Bufton has lived in Payson with her husband Alan Bufton for the 31 years raising a family of four children. They are actually grandparents of 2 darling baby boys in which she calls their pride and joy. Mrs. Bufton comes to Taylor with 10 years of experience in 6th-Grade instruction and is excited for the new challenges and friendships she expects to find at the historical Taylor Elementary. Mrs. Bufton originally began her career as a draftsman and then quit to raise her family. While doing so, she spent 21 years in the scouting program and grew to love children. That experience was what sparked the idea to return to college for the second time to earn a degree in education. Mrs. Bufton has expressed many times, "When I shut my classroom door and work with 6th- Grade students, I feel challenged and motivated to make a difference in the world, one individual student at a time. I love being a teacher."
