Taylor Elementary's principal, Mr. Daybell, loves when his students read.  Every morning he asks students about what they read the night before, he shares on the announcements what he's currently reading, and he loves to visit classrooms just to have a chance to read to students.  Mr. Daybell recently visited classrooms and read a book about Abraham Lincoln as well as one by one of his favorite authors, Patricia Polacco.  He read "The Bee Tree" to students saying he loves Patricia Polacco's books because she writes about what happens to her in her own life.

At the end of each story, Mr. Daybell challenged the classes to read every day and have someone read to them every day. We become better readers when reading is happening every day of our lives. Taylor School is lucky to have a principal who enjoys sharing his love of reading at school.
