Taylor Elementary's September students of the month got to enjoy a fancy lunch of pizza and soda with Mr. Daybell.  These students were chosen by their teachers because they make great efforts in academics and behavior choices each day in their classrooms.  These students have set a high standard for the rest of the school to follow!  Way to go Taylor Tigers!

Taylor Elementary's Fall Carnival

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
Taylor School recently hosted their annual Fall Carnival. Students and their families filled the halls and classrooms and enjoyed an evening of games and food. Some of the favorites were, 'Toilet Paper Toss', 'Face Painting', 'Sucker Pull, 'Fish Pond' and 'The Donut Walk" Along with the games and prizes, gift baskets were created by the classes that were auctioned off to raise money for the school. Many thanks go to the PTA and committees that put countless hours into the success of the Fall Carnival.

First and Fourth Build Lasting Friendships Through Reading!

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
Fourth graders at Taylor Elementary have been working hard on remembering what their E.A.R.S. are for...reading out loud! Reading with Expression, Accuracy, Rate and Smoothness are things that a good reader does when they're reading aloud. Each Friday, Mrs. Corbin, Mrs. Grill and Mrs. Tracy's classes have the chance to show off their skills by reading to the three first grade classes. This is a fun opportunity for both grades to look forward to because it gives them a chance to practice reading, make new friends, and learn from each other.

Taylor's Amazing Art Gallery

Submitted by courtney.corbin on
S.E.P. night was recently held at Taylor Elementary. Not only was this a chance for students and parents to sit down with their teacher and discuss progress, goals and accomplishments, but an amazing art gallery was showcased as well. Mrs. Patten, Taylor's talented art teacher, transformed her classroom into an art gallery that displayed student work throughout the term. This was a favorite for many to visit because students were able to show off the talents they've been developing in visual arts.
