Fire Prevention Week Winners

Five students from Taylor Elementary won the Fire Prevention Week coloring contest sponsored by Payson City Fire Department. Miguel Briceno, Daniel Southwick, Wyatt Hickman, Brayden Thurgood and Samuel Devenport were taken to lunch in the Payson City Ambulance. After enjoying a lunch with local firefighters and EMT’s they will return to school in a fire truck. Thank you to Payson City Fire for sponsoring and encouraging fire prevention in our area.

Gary Hogg Assembly

Students at Taylor Elementary will have the pleasure of learning from author Gary Hogg on October 1. Mr. Hogg will share stories in a school wide assembly, and then work with individual grade levels on writing skills. Be sure and ask your child about the great experience they had. The Utah County Health Department will be holding a flu clinic at Taylor Elementary.  This will be held on Friday September 28th from 3:30-5:30.  The following immunizations will be available at the clinic:

Mrs. Burningham Helps Taylor Students "Be Part of the Puzzle"

Mrs. Burningham, Taylor's Elementary's amazing counselor, has been visiting each of the classes around the school.  Mrs. Burningham read the story, 'The Crayon Box Talked' by Shane DeRolf, to the students and discussed how each color in the crayon box is just as important as the others.   She encouraged students to involve one another in class, during lunch and on the playground as often as they can to make each Taylor Tiger "Be Part of the Puzzle".   Students were able to draw on a puzzle piece showing their interests and talents for Mrs.

Open House

Taylor School will host an open house  on Monday,  August 20th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm.  Come and meet your teacher and find your classroom.  Our PTA will also be there signing up members and taking shirt orders.

Taylor Schools Pays Students For Reading

Taylor Elementary students have been doing a lot of reading each night.  With all the reading done for Ken Garff Road to Success program, student’s names were placed in a drawing during a school wide assembly.  If their name was drawn out, they had a chance to pick a prize or take the challenge of “Shooting for Bucks”. If a basket was made, Mr. Adams, Taylor’s favorite school counselor, handed over cash!

Taylor's Fear Factor

Taylor Elementary's Upper-grade students held their very own 'Fear Factor' for those who had good behavior during the month of March.  Students were challenged in physical  events as well as eating contests to see who could overcome their fears!   There was a lot of laughter, enthusiasim and memories made amongst the classes as they watched and cheered for each other while eating 'duck vomit', 'monkey fingers', and sardines.  There were also obsticle courses as well as 'wall sits' that that challenged their strength and agility.  In the end, the classes loved c
