Taylor Elementary is full of fantastic spellers!  Recently, the annual third-grade spelling bee was held in the gym of Taylor Elementary.  This year's competition was tough because the students in Mrs. Melanie Ellsworth, Ms. Olsen and Mrs. Provstgaard's classes have been practicing for quite some time memorizing words in order to become the new spelling bee champion! Parents, along with the second and third-grade classes, were invited to come watch the top spellers from each class participate. It was an extremely fun day for all participants. 

Heroes....Join us Monday for our "Love of Reading With a Hero" on Monday, February 12th from 2-2:30.  Students are welcome to bring any hero in their life to share their love of reading with each other!

We are starting choir tomorrow morning, Tuesday January 30 at 8:00-8:30 am. It will be every Tuesday and Thursday. 

Feb 6 and 13th there will be no choir. 

5th grade students at Taylor were recently delighted by Discovery Gateway's 'Reaction Time". Students were shown experiments involving chemical and physical change as well as states of matter. This was a great chance for students to really see science come to life!

First graders performed word surgery to create contractions! Students were able to wear gloves and masks to cut apart and reattach words to create a contraction!
