Taylor's families joined each other at the school Monday night to celebrate a love of reading. Parents and students came to the school and spent the evening reading stories, practicing helpful reading strategies, using online resources, learning about new popular books and even seeing a few pirates. This night was very successful because of the wonderful support we received from our Taylor parents. To continue our love for reading, Taylor students spent the next day at school dedicating the majority of their day to literacy! Classrooms were full of Read-a-thons, word work games, read aloud's, reader's theatres and much more. Mrs. Robbins is very passionate about literacy and the important role it plays for our students. She invited EVERY student at Taylor to come to the gym and "walk the plank" to receive a brand new book! This is a tradition that will continue at Taylor for years to come!!!
